Apparently they eat concrete in Libya. My colleague returned from a trip to northern Africa and brought some treats back to the office. Of the several odd candies in the selection these bright colored "rocks" were the most peculiar. Bright yellows, reds, and of course green. They were hard as a rock and tasted sweet with an odd mix perfume and nuts. Even with the improved relations between the west and Libya I'm sure these wont hit your local grocery store any time soon.
