I took this photo Labor Day weekend on our first trip out to Governor's Island. I loved capturing the silhouette of these Hasidic fellows soaking in the view of the Lower Manhattan skyline. A few days ago I decided I would use this image for this week's photo; not fully comprehending what Thrusday's date was going to be nor making any connection to the background context in the photo. This morning it dawned on me. Seven years ago this view of lower Manhattan from the harbor would have looked quite different, Seven years ago on Labor Day the Twin Towers would have still been standing, Seven years ago today they would not.

Len that is a fantastic photo. Really, a well timed shot, great composition. The stark
figures against the blue back ground; like it.
