On the weekends I always see this same flock of Pigeons circling overhead near my local subway stop. I figured out long ago these were not your ordinary "street rat" pigeons. These are sport pigeons that people keep on their roof tops as a hobby passed down from older generations. I couldn't find much on Pigeons in Brooklyn but this short story talks about a one guy in Carroll Gardens that is keeping the Homing pigeon tradition alive on his roof: NOEL.
