Running thin on photos this week I snapped one from my window seat on my flight back from Washington DC. I recently read and entertaining a essay entitled "Airborne" by Sally Shivnan in Best American Travel Writing 2006, in which she describes her love for window seats and all the things she observes from her perch. "I’m flying, with windows for wings. Under my nose—literally—are things I would not know any other way, for example, that the predominant color of city lights at night is gold...There are also facts that other folks might figure out some other way, but which have come to me only by pressing my nose to the Plexiglas."
